(April 20, 2020): Due to the coronavirus pandemic, Samaritan Community’s annual “Movie Night” Gala at The Charles has been postponed until further notice. We are looking forward to the day when we can all safely gather again soon!

(May 2017): Sharon has helped thousands of people with food,clothing, housing, jobs, and more during her 40 years at Samaritan. With her at the helm, we have grown to what we are today - helping approximately 1,100 men, women, and children annually.

samaritan receives $3,000 gift from Eaglefirst, llc

(July 2016): We are the grateful recipient of a $3,000 gift from EagleFirst, LLC, a Maryland management advisory firm. The gift, which is the second donation from EagleFirst in the past year alone, will go directly toward Samaritan's core services - the food pantry, clothing "shop", individual counseling, group support, case management, and emergency financial assistance.

Doing a Whole Lot of Good in Baltimore:
Whole Foods Market Baltimore Raises More Than $5,500 for Samaritan Community

(January 2016): Samaritan Community was named Whole Foods Market Baltimore's chosen charity for its 2015 "Feed4More" campaign. As a result, more than $5,500 was raised, which will be used to help individuals and families in crisis rebuild their lives. READ MORE!

(January 2016): After spending time with us over this past fall semester, students from the Maryland Institute College of Art (MICA) truly became a part of our community – talking and laughing with Samaritan members, learning about their challenges and hopes for the future, and about the work we do on a daily basis. The beautiful results, including business materials and photographs are all part of the exhibit "Stories from Samaritan Community". LEARN MORE!
