This July, Samaritan Community was the recipient of a $3,000 gift from EagleFirst, LLC, a Maryland management advisory firm, that provides Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) services. The gift, which is the second donation Samaritan has received from EagleFirst in the past year, will go directly toward supporting our core services - the food pantry, clothing closet, individual counseling, group support, case management, and emergency financial assistance.

"We are tremendously grateful to EagleFirst. Through their generosity, they have showed us their commitment to helping people, including the approximately 1,100 men, women, and children we proudly serve annually," says Peter Dunn, Director of Community Relations at Samaritan Community. "The bulk of our funding comes from individuals and private foundations. So, over the past few years, we have made a real effort at informing our local business community about who we are and what we do. To have the support of a business like EagleFirst is a significant step in this initiative."

Yet, EagleFirst's generosity does not stop at Samaritan's doors. It is a core value of the firm to donate a portion of its revenues to local charities that make a difference in our community.

"We are very pleased to share our recent business success and support The Samaritan Community once again. The work that the Samaritan Community performs enriches the lives of those in need and we are proud to be able to contribute to the positive impact they make in the community," says Rick Thomas, EagleFirst partner.

The Samaritan Community greatly thanks EagleFirst, not only for its most recent gift, but for leveraging its success to help others. For more information on how you can make a difference in the lives of our members, learn how you can get involved.
