This summer, Samaritan Community’s Board of Directors enthusiastically voted Myshala E. Middleton, Esq. to serve as the organization’s new board president. She follows in the footsteps of Paul Silvestri who completed his three-year term in June.

“Paul did a tremendous job. He was at the helm for many critical decisions. The organization, and more importantly our members, were very well-served by Paul,” says Marjorie Forster, Board Vice- President. “We know that Samaritan will continue to succeed under Myshala. She has the knowledge, experience, and passion needed for the role.”

Myshala, who works as an assistant attorney general in the State’s Medicaid Fraud Unit, has been on the Samaritan volunteer-based board since 2013 and continues to be moved by what she sees.

“Samaritan is special. We are a small organization with a big impact.” says Myshala. “We stand with our members, through good times and bad, for however long they need us. We want to be a part of their success.”

As board president, her primary goals are to raise awareness of Samaritan throughout the city, sustain relationships with current donors and partners as well as cultivate new ones.

In her spare time, Myshala enjoys a good crab cake and walks with her newly-adopted dog, Lady.
