Doing a Whole Lot of good this holiday season:
Samaritan Community to Receive Donations from
Whole Foods Market’s “Feed4More” Campaign
In 2014, Whole Foods Markets delivered 1,000 cases of healthy food to our pantry. All food was donated by customers of the
Mt. Washington and Harbor East stores.
Every holiday season, Whole Foods Market stores in Harbor East and Mt. Washington select a non-profit organization to which customers may donate through the store’s “Feed4More” Campaign. This year, Samaritan Community is the lucky recipient.
From now until December 28, each time you shop at either the Mt. Washington or Harbor East stores, you will be able to support us. Your gift will enable us to serve the more than 1,100 clients we proudly serve annually. Food, clothing, household items, counseling, and financial assistance are the major services we provide. Yet, it is our supportive community that often keeps people coming back – empowering them to rebuild their lives and their communities at-large

The partnership between Whole Foods Market and Samaritan Community has been a long-standing one. The national grocer also donates fresh fruit, vegetables, and bakery items to our food pantry three days a week – totaling an estimated $150,000 worth of food each year. Whole Foods Market also donated 1,000 cases of healthy food to our food pantry in 2014, to help subsidize the fresh food it already donates.
