On November 21, on WYPR's Maryland Morning With Sheilah Kast, Tom Hall interviewed James Blue, of our Board, and Evelyn Fitzgerald, who came to the Samaritan Community as a client.  Evelyn gave an excellent, appealing description of her needs, and her growth with the help of our staff and the Breakfast Club. James described his involvement with our community, starting with his attendance at the Breakfast Club. Together, they made a great  case for the Samaritan Community and its programs.  Thank you, Tom, James, and Evelyn!

From November 6 to 10, three fine restaurants, Helmand, Tapas Teatro, and B Bistro, put aside 20% of each table's bill (when the diners mentioned us) to support the Samaritan Community.  Many of us enjoyed the meals, and we received $1100 from these days!  Thank you, thank you to the Karzai family for this generous gift.

5% Day at Whole Foods was a great success.  We received $4900, a record 5% Day payout!  Many thanks to Whole Foods Mt. Washington and to all our friends that shopped, as well as volunteers that helped at the store.
